London - Chilling and Shopping
"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London.
No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford". So said one Samuel Johnson in 1777. Now assuming his observation was valid, it was said a very long time ago and, as we all know, things change!

Cinemas and Theatres Cinemas and Theatres

"The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd". What a great title for a show and what a lovely way to describe entertainment as we know it today! So what does London have to offer its visitors? For their entertainment in London, most visitors, and indeed Londoners, will gravitate to the West End of London. Leicester Square boasts several cinemas where world film premieres are frequently held.

Food Food

"Food, Glorious Food…" warbled young Oliver Twist in Lionel Bart's wonderful musical 'Oliver'. Was young Oliver extolling the virtues of London's culinary capabilities, one wonders?

Probably not, methinks!

Shopping Shopping

London's Shopping Shops, shops and more shops! Haute couture to charity shops, Bond Street to street markets, London has the lot!. When the weary old UK pound is being kicked around by the mighty US dollar and bullied by the upstart euro , overseas visitors will find there are bargains to be had in London's shops across a whole range of products.

Music-Classical Music - Classical

London's Music Scene. "Let me take you by the hand and walk you through the streets of London…..". We seem to recall this was an invitation from James Taylor many moons ago.

Music - Popular

London's Popular Music Scene. Ok, now we've got rid of those 'fuddy duddy' classical music buffs, we can talk about the really interesting stuff, rock 'n roll…OK, popular music in London. London has many famous venues hosting rock and pop concerts. These include large arenas such as Earls Court in west London, Wembley Arena in north London and the O2 Arena in Greenwich, south east London.
